Inventory Control Supervisor-Indy

POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions into and out of the Lacrosse/Danner Distribution Center. Developing logistical processes for improving inventory control. Responsible for preparing for inventory audits internal/external, leading the audit team to counting and reconciling. Responsible for the successful operation of a cycle count program, which includes set-up, counting, reconciliation, slotting, profiling, velocity analysis, and publishing metrics associated with the program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.):
Manages a cycle count program including publishing metrics on a periodic basis. Conducts and coordinates physical inventories as required with the ability to count and recount inventory. Reconciles physical inventories to system and adjusts inventory when necessary; takes steps to correct and prevent discrepancies. Optimize inventory locations based on the life of the product and demand of sales. Conducts stock search to locate products within the system. Reconciles Inventory in all system warehouse locations to meet Monthly goals. Records and reports all audits, counts, and adjustments daily and monthly. Implements appropriate actions to customer demands using forecasting and suggested improvements. Works to slot product in the most efficient manner for outbound productivity. Assign homes and complete system set up for all new incoming styles to allow for shipping expectations. Provides recommendations to resolve inventory issues. Coordinate all new styles inbound receiving, pulls reports weekly to track new incoming styles. Insures the home is set up a minimum of two weeks in advance is preferred. Works with Distribution Management to ensure all employees are following documented processes. Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records. Acts as the yearly audit representative. Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to the other. Train employees and staff in all inventory control processes according to manual and update processes as required. Manage all communication with Management and make recommendations for improvements. Works with management on ISO training documents for accuracy, makes recommendations to update any out-of-date processes. Acts as a backup for the Warehouse Supervisor. Directs and supervises the Operations Assistant and employees in product movement and counting.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. 3 + years Inventory Control experience or applicable experience preferred with thorough understanding of modern inventory management practices required. APICS certification (CPIM) is a plus. Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience required. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions. Dependable with a good record of attendance. Able to have a flexible work schedule and work overtime as required. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office with experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills. The employee frequently is required to use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, or reach. The sensory requirements for this position include vision, hearing, and touch. Frequently lifting, standing, bending, and walking up to 8 hours a day on a concrete floor. Must be able to lift/pull 50 pounds. The ability to operate all PIT equipment and or be trained as needed. Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with LFI's Core Values.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of the warehouse environment, temperature fluctuation can be extreme in cold or hot weather.
REPORTING: This position reports directly to: The Distribution Center Manager. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
