CT Technician (Computed Tomography)

Job Description Job Description USA Clinics Group is seeking a motivated CT Technician who's professional focus is providing excellent patient care. The CT Technician is responsible for performing routine to complex CT procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols under the direction/supervision of a radiologist where a wide variety of exams are regularly performed.
This position can be part-time performing CT scans a couple days per week in Manhattan. For candidates interested in full-time; must be open to performing additional radiology duties in additional clinic locations.
Responsibilities
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by Radiologists. Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology Program Required.
Must have at least 2 years of experience with Computed Tomography (CT) preferred . Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT) Required . IV Access & Contrast Injection Certified or willing to get certified within 3-months of hire, required . Ability to produce high quality special imaging with little supervision. Ability to function effectively in a collaborative environment.
