What you'll do: The Project Coordinator will use discretion when helping the Project Management team with peer reviews, documentation preparation, and submittals. They will identify process changes to be made to the Project Manager processes, to help us ensure uniformity within both the standard Industrial and/or Environmental groups. The position will also use independent judgement when establishing and providing feedback to contacts within the Project Management department, as well as Engineering and Procurement department. This position will also eventually manage and oversee the job/project/order process for key strategic projects and projects that span across the Environmental and/or Industrial industries by reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, recording from the initiation process through to post-delivery process.
Operates as a conduit for daily and weekly updates on current projects as the projects move forward to maintain up-to-date knowledge and documentation for Customers and the project management team regarding project progress. Administers ongoing support to the project management team in tracking change orders and updating job packages, as applicable, to ensure project deadlines and goals are met. Executes the accurate inputting of project management information into the appropriate systems. Facilitates the necessary approval of project documentation. Coordinates the tracking of projects, change orders and additional requests from clients or project managers to ensure the accurate recordkeeping of projects. Escalates project-specific issues to the Project Group Managers as appropriate. Assists with formal inspection process and peer review process and enters the findings and review into the system to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. Supports the formal inspection team to complete action items outside the inspection itself. Keeps the manager informed of task accomplishment, issues, and status. Requirements: Education: Technical High School or associate degree is required. Will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience: 0-3 years of project support or administrative role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Functional Skills: Excellent ability in planning, coordination, prioritizing, analyzing and problem-solving; able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; strong organizational and time management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Hands-on experience utilizing lean manufacturing principles for continuous process improvements which drive productivity and profitability. Must have motivational skills and a strong sense of urgency to meet Customer commitments in a timely and “above expectations” manner.
Computer Skills: Excellent MS Office skills required; Business Center/Navision management software skills preferred.
