Salary: $23.90 per hour (Plus health & welfare benefit of $4.93 per hour paid in cash) = $28.83 per hour
Preference: Some knowledge of military medical records is preferred
Additional:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in medical records management and administration with a special focus on medical program management.

Job Description/ Medical Records Technician The Medical Record Technician maintains medical records of hospital and clinic patients, reviews medical records for completeness and accuracy, code diseases, operations, diagnoses, and treatments, compiles medical care and census data for statistical reports, and maintains indexes on patient, disease, operation, and other categories. The Medical Record Technician files patient records, maintains the flow of medical records, and reports to departments Qualifications:
The candidate shall have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in medical records management and administration with a special focus on medical program management.
The candidate shall have the knowledge and experience needed to use Microsoft Office Suite including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
The candidate shall comply with the following Government directives to successfully complete the tasks:
Service shall be performed in an office environment. This office is located within a medical clinic, and therefore a small potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens exists.
The candidate shall obtain appropriate blood-borne pathogen training in accordance with OSHA 1910.1030.
Privacy Act of 1974, and must be familiar with the proper management of this type of information.
Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and must be familiar with the proper management of this type of information.
