Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Developer to join our Development team. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Project Developer will play a vital role in supporting the development of clean energy projects across various real estate portfolios. The successful candidate will contribute to project development efforts from inception to execution, leveraging creativity and strategic thinking to maximize the deployment of onsite clean energy assets.
Key Job Responsibilities
Project Development Support: Assist in the development of clean energy projects from conception to execution, including site identification, assessment, feasibility studies, permitting, design, financing, and construction, ensuring alignment with Radial Powers' objectives and standards. Site Identification and Evaluation: Support the identification, evaluation, and selection of suitable sites for deploying onsite clean energy assets, conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to inform decision-making processes. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, real estate operators, developers, investors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate collaboration and support project development efforts. Financial Analysis: Support financial analysis activities, including ROI calculations, cost-benefit analysis, and financial modeling, to evaluate the economic feasibility of clean energy projects and support investment decisions. Contract Management: Assist in negotiating agreements with clients, partners, and vendors for project development, financing, and asset management, ensuring alignment with Radial Powers' objectives and interests. Project Management Support: Provide support in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution and compliance with quality and safety standards. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of efforts to support project development and implementation. Compliance and Risk Management: Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, and identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project development and implementation. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project status, progress, and key milestones to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Required Experience
2-5 years of experience in real estate development, renewable energy development, or related field, with exposure to project development and management.
Other Skills
Solid understanding of clean energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to contribute creative ideas and insights to support project development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and make informed recommendations to support decision-making processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and solar design tools preferred. Salesforce experience preferred. Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a passion for driving positive change and contributing to the transition to a low-carbon economy.
