Health Information Management (HIM) Coder - Outpatient

Job Description Job Description The Rome Health HIM department is looking for an outpatient coder for our clinic team. Join a dynamic HIM team!
Must have a current certification through AAPC or AHIMA. Orthopedic coding experience is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years' experience required in coding CPT, E/M, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM. Knowledge in E/M clinic and minor procedures as well as specialties to include orthopedics, general surgery, pulmonology, pediatrics, neurology, surgery, and family medicine is a plus. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology. Experience in researching and applying coding rules and guidelines required. Must have experience with data entry of codes into a database. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have a positive, respectful attitude.
