Looking for a PRN Resident Assistant; day and night shifts available (12 hours). Position Summary The Resident Assistant/Care Aide delivers quality assisted living services focused on maximizing residents’ individual capabilities in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Reports to the Resident Care Director. Qualifications Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year experience in senior services preferred. Must have State Trained Nursing Assistant certification (if required by State). CNA certification or Home Health Aide certification preferred. Primary Job Responsibilities Assists residents with activities of daily living as designated in care plan (i.e., dressing, toileting, hair care, bathing). Reads 24-hour log at the beginning of shift. Makes routine rounds as scheduled and checks with residents to ensure care needs are being met. Assists residents with clothing choices appropriate for the day’s weather, clean and stain-free. Assists with incontinent residents, routinely checking clothing and linens to keep residents clean and dry. Assists residents with ambulation and use of walkers, canes, wheelchairs, etc. Assists residents during meal times in the dining area. Encourages residents to participate in activities. Shampoos hair weekly if not done by beautician. Makes beds daily and performs light housekeeping duties in resident apartments and common areas as designated. Job Description Scope of Position: The position of Chaplain Resident provides an opportunity for education, training and service in pastoral care within the Department of Chaplaincy and CPE. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: • Manage daily construction operations and Resident Engineering activities for complex projects. • Monitor Contractor performance, schedules, and overall effectiveness to ensure project goals are met. • Ensure that the work is properly executed, completed in a timely fashion and conforms to the requirements of the construction documents. • Ensure that the Contractor is maintaining project goals regarding cost, schedule, quality, etc. • Oversee project scope, scheduling, contractor procedures, and resolution of construction issues, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints. • Serve as a liaison between design staff and Contractors, addressing RFI's and reviewing shop drawings. • Responsible for overall site safety, permit condition compliance, and coordination with other City Agencies. • Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality. • Manage the Contractor payment process and recommends appropriate adjustments as necessary to manage the Contractor. • Responsible for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with other stakeholders. • Effectively communicate progress, project updates, safety protocols, and scheduling during construction meetings with clients. • Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality. • Use effective oral and written communication skills to effectively lead progress, project, safety, scheduling and other contract administration meetings with client, local agencies and the community.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience: • A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited college or university preferred. • Minimum experience of five (5) years as a Resident Engineer or ten (10) years as Assistant Resident Engineer in the Water Supply or Wastewater Sector is required. • Resident Engineering experience on NYCDEP Pump station projects. • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. • Proficiency with Primavera and/or MS Project and the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint). • Professional Engineer - New York (active) required. • Strong relationships with NYCDEP personnel. • Experience with infrastructure projects, particularly those located in the New York Metro area, is highly desirable.
