Job Description Job Description Description: OCH is expanding and is currently seeking a Sr. ServiceNow Developer to join our team of uniquely talented, diverse professionals for a large Government project. As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our client's ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals. In this role, you will collaborate with teams, oversee project timelines, and manage the end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow solutions. You will leverage your expertise to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while driving projects to successful completion. Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Configure and set up ServiceNow instances, write and optimize custom scripts, and automate deployment and validation tasks to ensure a seamless environment setup. Code, unit test, and integrate new features into the ServiceNow platform, applying advanced scripting techniques and development methodologies. Configure and maintain development instances using ServiceNow Studio, ensuring proper data and code separation between environments with scoped applications and application data protection. Implement and optimize core modules utilizing Script Includes, Business Rules, and UI Policies to meet complex business requirements. Build and enhance custom applications using server-side Glide scripting, client-side GlideAjax, and UI Pages to improve user experience and functionality. Supervise efforts to resolve issues identified during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and optimize code based on performance feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables. Oversee final deployment efforts, ensuring that the production instance is fully configured, operational, and meets all performance and stability requirements. Contribute to the development of new features, resolve bugs, and enhance existing modules to continually improve the ServiceNow platform. Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure thorough testing and smooth deployment of changes without impacting system stability. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements relevant to ServiceNow implementations. Collaboration is key as you partner with Product owners, Architect, and Business Analysts to strategize optimal implementation approaches for each requirement. Your expertise in configuration and coding best practices on each platform will be essential in creating the necessary functionality. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred but not mandatory). ServiceNow Certification (Any of the following): ServiceNow Certified Application Developer. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM). ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) ServiceNow Certified Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) ServiceNow Certified Application Portfolio Management (APM)
Experience:
10-15 years of experience in Information Technology, with substantial hands-on experience in ServiceNow development. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, including Server-Side Glide Scripting and Client-Side GlideAjax. Extensive experience with ServiceNow Studio, including configuring and developing scoped applications. Proven experience with Script Includes, Business Rules, and UI Policies. Solid understanding of key ServiceNow modules, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Catalog. Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST and SOAP APIs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience in developing and customizing ServiceNow applications using ServiceNow Studio. Deep knowledge of core modules like Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Policies, and Service Catalog. Advanced experience with ServiceNow integrations, including REST and SOAP APIs.
Other Required Skills and Abilities:
Skills in planning, executing, and managing ServiceNow projects from inception to completion. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Self-motivated with ability to work independently. Adaptability to changing technologies.
