Generator Source has openings for experienced Industrial Generator Mechanics and Field Technicians. Generator Source is the leading industrial diesel generator that buys and sells surplus and used commercial power generation equipment throughout the world. The company is a family owned business located in Brighton, Colorado that has been in the power generation industry for over 38 years. Our focus is on low-hour industrial diesel and natural gas generators that are 20 kW to 2000 kW from top name brands like Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, MTU Onsite Energy and more. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain equipment operation by completing inspections, preventive maintenance requirements, correcting deficiencies, keeping records, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts and general troubleshooting. Maintain yard/field equipment (forklifts, cranes, service trucks, welders, trailers, generators, etc.) Complete preventive maintenance schedules, installing components, parts upgrades, correcting deficiencies, maintaining appearance and keeping records of time by task. Diagnose and repair any issues found during initial testing. Change filters and perform standard service on units. Work closely with the Service Manager on project progress, estimates, etc. Prepare generators for shipment. Other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

Industrial diesel engine mechanic with at least 3 years of experience. In-depth understanding of diesel engine technology is required. Experience working with large industrial diesel engines and related equipment is required. 6+ years of experience working with numerous name brands and industrial engines like Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, etc. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on large commercial and industrial diesel engines. Proficient with estimating time required to complete tasks. Exceptional communication skills and team player mentality.

SHOP HOURS: 7:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. MST COMPENSATION: Competitive This position is full-time and is located in Brighton, Colorado
