Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term care (LTC) setting. The role includes patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and coordination with healthcare teams while ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in a long-term care setting
• Assess patient conditions and develop care plans
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor patient progress and update care plans
• Respond to emergencies and make clinical decisions independently
• Supervise CNAs, LPNs, and support staff
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR
• Ensure infection control and patient safety standards
• Participate in care coordination with physicians and healthcare teams
Required Qualifications
Education
• ADN / ASN / Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Licensure & Certifications
• Active RN License (Alaska or any U.S. state)
• Must apply for Alaska license before start date
• BLS Certification (AHA required)
Experience
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience preferred
• LTC experience is a plus
