Job Description Job Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist/Officer or Procurement Analyst/Specialist with a background in state or federal acquisition or procurement processes. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, reviewing electronic documents, and guiding contracts and purchase orders through to signature by the President. They will be required to ensure alignment with contract terms and notate any requirements for execution prior to the signature process.
Location: Flexible (Remote Work) Hours: Part-Time Duration: 6 Months Pay: $40+ hour
Key Responsibilities: Assure compliance in alignment with state procurement processes. Review electronic documents, contracts, and purchase orders prior to executive signatures. Prepare solicitation and Request For Information (RFI). Conduct market research and provide support to existing contract staff. Manage contracts and written RFP and RFI. Requirements: Experience in state acquisition or procurement processes. New York state experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and competent in Project Management applications. Strong organizational, project Management and leadership skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work remotely.
Responsibilities: • Ensure all contracts and purchase orders are in line with contract terms before signature • Review and manage electronic documents related to contracts and procurement • Provide assistance to existing contract staff to enhance understanding of processes • Conduct market research and prepare solicitations and Request for Information (RFI) • Oversee the compliance of contract terms and conditions • Use Office Suite & Project Manager Applications for contract management • Handle contract amendments and auditing tasks • Manage customer relationship management (CRM) and billing functions • Leverage knowledge of DCAA and Deltek for contract administration • Handle construction contracts and redlining tasks • Prepare and manage purchase agreements and RFP responses • Use Adobe Acrobat and Costpoint for contract related tasks. • Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document handling and editing. • Thorough understanding and experience in using Costpoint for project accounting. • Demonstrated skill in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. • Familiarity with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations. • Extensive experience in using Deltek for project and business management. • Proven ability to handle contract amendments efficiently. • Prior experience in auditing and ensuring accuracy of contract documents. • Ability to manage billing functions related to contracts effectively. • Strong commitment to ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. • Background in the construction industry, specifically relating to contract administration. • Capable of redlining contracts, identifying and rectifying problematic clauses. • Proven ability in drafting and reviewing Purchase Agreements. • Experience in preparing effective RFP responses.
