REPORTS TO: Head Women's Softball Coach
This position offers compensation of Housing, Utilities, Meal Plan (10 Meals per week) and Wi-Fi in addition to posted salary of $17,225.00

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an energetic, highly organized, dynamic professional to join our team. Lamar Community College Lopes Women's Softball is g a winning program due to exceptional talent, teamwork, commitment, and coaches who care about the players as athletes, students, and people. This position is a part-time, year-round assistant women's softball coaching position. The right candidate for this job will be enthusiastic and will be ready to contribute to the growth and success of the team. As an employee of, and the Colorado Community College System, this position is required to uphold and enforce the policies of LCC and CCCS, and all local, state and federal laws. This position will comply with all student privacy laws (FERPA); and is a mandatory reporter of any suspected illegal activity.
Examples of Duties
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist to recruit student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA, Region IX and LCC rules and regulations including official and unofficial recruiting visits and admissions procedures Support retention of student-athletes Monitor and report academic progress of team members Prepare and maintain gymnasium Assist with practices Attend and assist at all scheduled games and team events Demonstrate sportsmanship at all times while serving as the assistant women's softball coach Comply with all requirements of FERPA, Title IX, Clery, policies of the institution, the Colorado Community College System, and all local, state and federal laws while performing the required duties of the position Other duties as assigned by the women's Head Softball Coach
Participate in HLC and accreditation activities for the college including team assignments, action project assignments, Conversation Day, etc.
Demonstrate sportsmanship at all times Comply with all requirements of FERPA, Title IX, Clery, policies of the institution, the Colorado Community College System, and all local, state and federal laws while performing the required duties of the position Serve on other institutional committees as assigned Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Head Women's Softball Coach
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree
Experience playing softball at a collegiate level Ability to work varied schedule Strong oral communication skills Disciplined to work productively with minimal supervision with a strong can-do attitude and an ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with superiors, peers and students PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations Previous experience as a softball coach or assistant coach at some level Previous experience recruiting softball players
