We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Instrumentation Technician at our Crawfordsville, IN location. Our goal is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our production facility, and we need a skilled technician to help us achieve that. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs for our instrumentation systems and equipment. You will work independently, making technical decisions in the field, and occasionally support other facilities in the region during turnarounds and maintenance activities. Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial instruments, including transmitters, PLC systems, meters, analyzers, and automatic valves. Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment. Develop, plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance. Assist in root cause analysis for major instrument failures. Read and maintain P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams in compliance with SOPs, QA, and MOC policies. Identify and resolve chronic instrumentation asset concerns. Assist in planning and estimating costs for instrumentation work during turnarounds. Identify and implement new technologies and specify new instrument systems. Develop and train both new and existing instrument specialists in the facility. Lead implementation and compliance activities for the Procal calibration and asset management software. Assist in FDA and cGMP validation activities for instrumentation systems and assets. Assess equipment performance to ensure optimal and efficient operation. Provide onsite or remote assistance to plant or contract personnel to ensure safe and effective work. Drive resolution of high-impact issues with urgency and integrity.
This position involves a mix of office and fieldwork. Candidates should be comfortable working in various weather conditions and must be able to access elevated electrical and mechanical equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets. Accessibility during off-hours is required, and the job may occasionally involve overtime or callouts on weekends, nights, and holidays. There will be approximately 25 percent overnight domestic travel to support the I&E needs of the region.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or Engineering Technology Degree in Instrumentation/Electronics and at least 5 years of experience maintaining instrumentation systems in an industrial setting. Demonstrated experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and calibration of industrial instrumentation systems. Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for instrumentation systems. Excellent communication and team interaction skills. Proven ability to work independently and lead/participate in teams. A self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Experience with computers and standard software packages (MS Office, Email, etc.). Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle. Willingness to submit to random drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Strong understanding of regulatory and industrial standards and codes. Proven knowledge of process control systems in an industrial setting. Experience with asset management systems such as Infor EAM and Procal.
