STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: DeMay Living Center 42 bed long term care unit, 42 bed rehab unit DEPARTMENT: Food and Nutrition SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday days, weekend on-call rotation after training ATTRIBUTES Bachelors Degree in Nutrition or related field required Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (either in place or received within 6 months of hire) One (1) to three (3) years of experience preferred Strong analytical, computer and communication skills Exceptional customer service and patient care RESPONSIBILITIES Assessment. Complete nutritional assessments for all patients; provide input into Nutritional Support Service rounds for assigned patients; monitor and document patient progress Diet Planning. Provide recommendations for formulations, rate and volume for all tube fed and TPN patients; instruct patients and families on special diets and general good nutrition; complete diet instructions for complex diets Patient Care. Develop plan of care per clinical data, interview, diagnosis and treatment goals; provide oversight to dietetic technicians in providing patient care EDUCATION: BS: Nutrition (Required) LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Health Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: CT Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Overnights (Friday to Sunday D/E/N) Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: Two (2) Years of Level 1 Trauma Center Experience License: CT Tech License Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: - Level I Trauma Experience - Siemens Scanner Experience - Epic Experience is highly desired Description: CT Technologist Duties and Responsibilities include confirming patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Adheres to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinates with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepares patients for scans and explains the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Inserts IVs when necessary for the test. Positions patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility, and must utilize safe patient handling. Maintains accurate patient record-keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintains a clean and safe scanning facility. Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Maintains certification through ARRT. NYS licensure is required prior to starting the position. Injection certification is preferred and must be willing to complete during the orientation process. Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. A patient and compassionate disposition is essential. A team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
