WHY DO WE NEED YOU? The ideal candidate will reside in the NYC Metro area The Commercial Territory Manager for Commercial Building & Infrastructure (CBI) is responsible for sales growth of CBI’s portfolio of GCP commercial waterproofing and air barrier systems by generating sustained demand and positioning CBI as the preferred choice among owner, design professional, applicator, contractor, and distribution customers. Works collaboratively with Regional Sales Manager to meet sales targets and create sustained demand. Provide a significant amount of construction site support in addition to office, phone, and email support in a timely manner. Calls on end-users, contractors, builders, and owners creating a “pull-through” demand, subsequently working with distribution customers to close related sales. Actively targets and tracks construction projects from planning through bidding phases to maximize closing rates. Conducts and participates in sales promotions, contractor site training, site visits and educational meetings directly with contractors, applicators, distributors, and at trade association events. Relay customer needs between Commercial Territory Managers and to Marketing, R&D and Manufacturing. Assist applicators with product information and training programs including job site support. Prospect new projects to position GCP Commercial Building Envelope Systems by implementing planned sales strategies, company marketing programs, and delivering effective customer service. Provide training to distributors to increase their GCP product knowledge and establish sales strategies. Assist in testing new marketing materials, products, systems, and applications. Provide accurate forecasts for the territory by working with applicators and distributors on expected demand. Develop work plans with distributors to accomplish mutually agreed on sales goals. IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? Bachelor’s degree in building science, architecture, engineering, business or similar discipline is preferred or four years of equivalent training and experience that provides thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and practices concerned with the field of construction in lieu of degree. 1 years of applied professional experience which includes managing customer relationships, sales or consultative selling. Salesforce experience is preferred Valid driver’s license and able to successfully pass our MVR background check. This role requires a high level of independence and self-motivation. Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking. Good interpersonal, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication. This is a field sales role, requiring extensive travel in the NYC Metro area to call on customers. Overnight travel is up to 30% within the NYC Metro area with company provided vehicle. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $89,500 to $139,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 30% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $116,300 to $180,000. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
