Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting an endocrinologist with interest or and/or expertise in thyroid disorders to join our exciting practice. This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care for patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and other thyroid disorders; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and other scholarly activities such as quality improvement activities and clinical research. The division is highly recognized in clinical and research programs in thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes; adrenal and pituitary disorders; metabolic bone disease, obesity, women’s health, and other hormone conditions. Division Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism has been recognized for excellence by U.S. News and World Report on an ongoing basis. We are committed to excellence in clinical care, the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and discoveries to improve the care of patients with endocrine and endocrine-related disorders through laboratory and clinical research. Our division has a long history of developing novel interdisciplinary programs and has demonstrated outstanding performance in areas such as thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes and obesity, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic bone disease. The Division is supported by the The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Wexner Medical Center, and The James Cancer Hospital. Duties and Responsibilities This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care to endocrine patients with a focus on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and basic or clinical research. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspirations, e-consults, and inpatient consults. Requirements Candidates must have an MD or DO Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience Faculty Defined Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Rate/Salary: $20/h - $21/h Location: Columbus, OH Contract: 6 months (possible perm/extension) The Service Desk Chat Agent is the first point of contact that support end users via our live chat channel for IT Service support in a fast-paced 24x7x365 environment. While providing the highest level of customer service, the Service Desk Chat Agent answers incoming chats, tracks all information in a ticket tracking system, uses a knowledge base tool along with their expertise to resolve issues in a timely fashion. The Service Desk Chat Agent is focused on achieving high levels of first call resolution and identifying opportunities to streamline/automate agent process. Provide skills-based services to assist clients and families in meeting identified goals (example: coping skills education, parenting skills training, etc.)

Work with children, adolescents and/or adults, as assigned

Link families to resources in the community, based on needs

Collaborate with other Georgia HOPE/HCA staff and community partners to ensure effective treatment, service provision and case collaboration

Document case notes in online electronic medical record system (CareLogic)

Attend regular team meetings

Attend agency trainings, as needed

Qualifications:

Intern Position Requirements:

Working towards Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with using the internet and Microsoft Word

Ability to navigate online electronic medical record system (CareLogic)

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Ability to function as a member for a multi-disciplinary treatment team and work cooperatively with other agency employees

Ability to conduct oneself professionally and ethically with clients, co-workers and community partners

Two weeks of onboarding training including shadowing opportunities counting towards direct hours

Weekly clinical supervision with Licensed Clinical Supervisor

Interns are considered highly eligible for employment at Georgia HOPE

Access to free trainings and workshops on a variety of topics to support intern education

Monthly and bimonthly meetings with other interns to staff cases, discuss topics related to professional development, and provide a sense of camaraderie

The ability to create your own flexible schedule

The ability to work remotely when completing admin-related task
