Job Description Job Description POSITION PURPOSE: The installation and repair of all building systems, to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable operation of the hotel according Olshan Properties, and Marriott Hotels’ standards. Perform preventative maintenance as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform preventative maintenance on all guest rooms using the approved check list. This will include, but not limited to, replacing lamps, repairing wallpaper, caulking, tile grout, faucets, toilets, changing filters, furniture repair, painting, etc. Maintain Marriott logs and inspection sheets. Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks, i.e. replace HVAC filters, etc. Replace ceiling light bulbs in the public and office areas of the hotel. Support the GXP Program throughout the hotel. Learn and utilize all essential functions of GXP from accepting, starting, stopping if needed, adding notes, adding pictures, etc.… on all Service Orders and PM orders. Give all Emergencies & Guest Occupied rooms the highest priority. Check work orders daily to follow up on any that needed parts or any that may be left from the previous day. Perform repair work given on all service orders and PM Orders and ensure all work is completed in a timely manner. Handle minor repairs of wall vinyl, woodwork, etc. using basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills. Aide other engineers in completing repair and maintenance work on the building and equipment that requires more than one person. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS : In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Director of Engineering and/or the General Manager based upon the particular requirements of the Hotel. OTHER: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team Members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Job Description

Ferguson Construction Company is seeking to add a Civil Engineer/Estimator to its tight-knit, interdisciplinary team. Ferguson Construction is a premier Design-Build contractor that has constructed a wide variety of large and small commercial, industrial, educational, and healthcare projects throughout Ohio and Indiana for more than 100 years. This position will report to, and work side by side with, our Managing Architect. The selected candidate will also work closely with our President, who is a Professional Engineer. The position will work with our current designers to design a variety of projects from preliminary design and pricing sketches through construction documents. Responsibilities:

Work with current designers to direct, design, analyze, and draw structural drawings for new buildings, additions, and renovations. Design and analyze conventional steel buildings, including framing plans. Design shallow foundations, slabs, modest retaining walls, pits, and steel reinforcing. Develop structural drawings and specifications to obtain building permits. Communicate and coordinate designs with architectural and civil staff. Review and seal structural drawings for submission to jurisdictions. Review steel supplier shop drawings for compliance with our design and construction drawings. Estimate material and labor, order, and coordinate deliveries of pre-engineered metal buildings and accessories. Perform quantity takeoffs and develop self-perform labor and equipment costs. Estimate and purchase parts for other buyout type items (insulated metal wall panels, liner panel, insulation, roofing, trims, doors, anchor bolts, etc.). Coordinate with pre-engineered supplier engineers to determine cost-effective solutions. Work with business development and design staff to establish the best and/or most economical building layouts and details and help identify potential value engineering opportunities. Work with customers, code officials, outside consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers as well as our internal staff of architectural and civil designers, sales, estimating, operations, and superintendents across all four of our regional offices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain it within a year. Minimum 3 years' experience performing concrete and steel engineering work. Proficient in CAD or Tekla; Revit experience is a plus. Detail-oriented, with problem-solving skills, and an understanding of construction, steel erection, shoring, and economics of design. Organized with good communication skills. Deadline and detail-oriented, with a customer focus.
