Clinical Contracts Manager
Job Description
Client is a privately held biotech company developing products to treat several diseases and their debilitating comorbidities associated with reduced quality of life, increased medical cost and significant mortality. A portfolio of hematology and oncology products is in development. Job Description Job Summary Manager, Contracts will report to and take direction from the Sr. Director, Finance. Manager, Contracts will manage the end-to-end contracts process. This resource will receive all contract requests – regardless of financial implication – and will determine the next steps required to move the document forward for execution. This resource will ensure that contracts get fully executed and filed in the contracts database. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Determine whether a contract request does or does not have financial considerations and take the appropriate action based on established process flows. Read contracts and have a basic understanding of terms and conditions. Write a first draft for any required contract changes. Track contract movement and work closely with internal and external customers to ensure that contract progress proceeds on a timely basis. Work with legal counsel as required. Maintain all template documents. Review all vendor requests and determine requirement for vendor contract in accordance with contract and vendor policies. Process fully approved contracts to complete execution and file in contract repository as required.
Education and/or Experience Typically requires a University degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Other Duties
Read and interpret documents such as agreements, contracts, policies, procedures, metrics, and reports. Experience with computers and software such as Windows and Microsoft Office. Demonstrate sound business judgment and be supportive of the company’s mission, vision, ethics, values, and objectives. Operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment. Display initiative, self-motivation, practical learning skills, enthusiasm, and ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Language, Mathematical, and/or Reasoning Ability
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and/or correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization and in a high-pressure environment. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
