Summary
Supports the store staff and management with administrative and HR tasks, office maintenance, sign-making, and marketing. Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and the highest standard of ethical conduct. Provides exceptional customer service and contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Requirements:
Engages the customer in a friendly manner, shares product information, and assists in locating products throughout the store. Seeks opportunities to exceed customer expectations and enhance the customer experience. Demonstrates ability to manage own time and models a flexible work style. Shifts tasks as priorities and circumstances change based on the needs and conditions of the department. Represents company values. Works cooperatively and positively with fellow team members. Adheres to work and food safety policies set forth by the company and all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Contributes to store cleanliness and maintains equipment. Inform store/department management of any problems. Observe all company rules and policies. Understands and complies with specific department or location guidelines, tasks, and responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities:
Stays thoroughly knowledgeable of the store’s voicemail system, updates current voicemail info at each extension and maintains the current store roster. Ensures there is always phone coverage by being the first telephone operator. Orders and purchases all office, break room, and store supplies. Ensures break room and office areas are orderly and clean. Maintains upkeep of all office equipment and machinery. Alerts management of problematic office equipment. Distributes incoming and outgoing mail internally to the company and externally; including faxes. Updates bulletin boards/in-store communications, including all postings and flyers. Conducts or assists with research projects as needed. Maintains updated forms and packets for all staff and management. Processes the token tally and sends it to Accounting. Processes gift cards for donations. Supports and assists e-card program, senior, and loyalty programs. Prepares and maintains tags in-store and communicates with Product Systems when necessary. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly tag/price audits. Maintains end cap signs, sale and food service signs, tags, flyers, price changes, and POS scanning. Executes printing of signage and promotional materials throughout the store. Stays informed and engaged in carrying out store merchandising goals. Assists with ensuring the monthly sales and promotional calendar is supported at all levels of the store including signage and marketing materials. Administer INFRA training programs. Makes name tags, and maintains lockers, mailboxes, discount cards, and keys as needed. Works with HR and Payroll on various confidential matters. Assists with activities around PTO requests, incentive awards, distribution of paychecks, and loading of gift cards according to procedures. Performs all bookkeeping duties. Attends department meetings and takes minutes, as requested. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Previous customer service, food service, retail, or grocery experience preferred. Knowledge of retail operations department / administrative experience is highly preferred. Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency is required. Experience with Excel and inventory software preferred.
Language Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Mathematical Skills
Basic to intermediate math and computation skills are required.
Reasoning Ability
Skills to read, understand, and follow through on verbal and written instructions. Skills to exercise good judgment at all times.
Knowledge of English
Should have the ability to speak, read, and understand English.
Physical Demands
This position works at a Light level. Required occasionally to be on feet with a mix of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the shift. Up to occasionally, dependent on location, required to climb stairs, step stools, and/or ladders. Continuously required to: use arms, hands, and wrists; grasping/squeezing. Occasionally required to: lift and carry 1-20 pounds; push/pull 1-10 pounds; bend/stoop; twist; reach at/above shoulder; reach below shoulder. Seldom required to: lift and carry 21-50 pounds; crouch/squat; kneel; climb stairs and step stools. This position may require to use of the following tools and equipment: box knife, baler, scanner, hand truck, POS, conveyer belt, industrial kitchen equipment (i.e. blast chiller, grill, knives/blades, oven, grills, scales, etc.), basic housekeeping/janitorial and standard office equipment. Work occurs in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise levels, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures.
