We are looking for a passionate Mental Health Administrator 5 (Children/Youth Program Administrator) to oversee our focus on clinical interventions for Ohio’s youth and their families. The mental health administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing the success of programming directly connected to the treatment of youth. Our ideal candidate has experience in behavioral healthcare administration and a deep understanding of behavioral health conditions, treatment, and multi-system navigation for youth. The specific duties include managing staff, implementing services and policies, budgeting, and improving the efficiency of behavioral health services. Ultimately, you will ensure that our behavioral health services lead to the best outcomes for Ohio’s youth and their families. DUTIES:
Implement services & supports that support youth and their families Manage a team of dedicated staff focused on youth crisis & treatment interventions Prepare & manage budgets, including resources allocation Implement procedures to increase behavioral healthcare quality & efficiency Develop & implement strategies for improving the services provided Represent the agency at meetings & conferences This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units , with a pay range of 15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (Flexible Schedule). Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter. The OhioMHAS supports a hybrid teleworking model. This position may work a hybrid schedule at the discretion of the manager or supervisor, which will require a minimum of 2 days of attendance in the office for training, meetings, and other operational needs. Employees must reside within a reasonable distance to their assigned headquarters for compliance with workplace reporting requirements.
Position Qualifications:
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration or mental health technology (e.g., psychology, rehabilitation, social work); 12 mos. exp. in area to be assigned. -Or completion of graduate core program in public administration or business administration. -Or 12 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administration 4, 65224, in Department of Mental Health. Note: prior training &/or experience must be directly related to area to be assigned. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. Job Skills: Mental Health Required Educational Transcripts: Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application.
