Hours & Schedule: Full-time on-location, Monday to Friday 8 AM – 5 PM COMPANY INFORMATION – WHO WE ARE Howies Hockey Tape is a locally owned and fast-growing business that has been around the Grand Rapids area since 2002, with another distribution facility operating out of Burlington, Ontario. Our focus is selling high-quality hockey tape, accessories, apparel, and many other sporting goods. Over the years, we have become a staple in the hockey community, working with every team in the NHL, AHL, and the majority of Division 1 colleges around the country. In 2015, we launched our sister company, Howies Athletic Tape, allowing us to branch into new markets and work with all sports. We supply products to MLB, NFL, MLS, and NBA teams, as well as D1 football programs like the University of Michigan, Alabama, and Michigan State, and thousands of high schools across North America. We pride ourselves on providing the world’s highest quality products to pro shops, retail stores, teams of all levels, and international distributors. We are focused on expanding our internet sales business directly to consumers. “One Thing”: Represent and grow the Howies brand by managing and creating outstanding content on social media, providing a seamless customer service experience to our end users and wholesale customers. We are looking for a driven individual to join our team at Howies Hockey / Athletic Tape as a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator. The Howies brand has grown exponentially, and we are always looking to expand our reach. This is a great opportunity to thrive in a marketing capacity for a fast-paced and culture-focused company! E-COMMERCE & MARKETING

Conceptualize, create, and continuously update all Howies digital marketing efforts to increase online sales for both the US and Canadian websites. Collaborate with the marketing director to write blogs and emails. Update product descriptions and long-form written content for the annual printed catalog. Work closely with the marketing director to ensure Howies digital ads, SEOs, and other marketing assets are updated and effective. Oversee and manage social media channels related to e-commerce website platforms to increase sales. Parlay social media interactions into new sales.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

Stay up to date on relevant topics, industry news, and brand mentions on social media. Ensure the Howies “brand voice” is consistent and aligns with company objectives. Present ideas on new posts, strategies, and partnerships to management. Connect with prospective end users that might not yet follow or be aware of Howies. Lead all aspects of Howies social media, ensuring all posts are scheduled and managed. Work closely with the marketing director and graphic design team to ensure you have all assets necessary to carry out these duties. Ensure all posts are well written with no spelling or punctuation errors. Create and implement a strategy to connect with junior/professional players, influencers, and key accounts.

WHOLESALE CUSTOMER SPECIALIST & LEAD GENERATION

Provide the sales team with information to use on customer calls. Utilize social media accounts to generate customer leads and create upsell opportunities. Engage customers and clients on social media and in-person when possible. Build relationships with key clients to help execute partnerships and increase sales.

GENERAL – As a small business, there are many other tasks that will be required.

Represent Howies Hockey / Athletic Tape at tournaments and tradeshows as needed. Know how to process and pack all orders that come into Howies. Work with production and operations teams to develop new product ideas. Work with the management and sales teams to develop new sales ideas. Maintain communication and positive relationships with the entire team. Engage both the operations and sales sides of the business daily. Perform any other tasks required to be a best-in-class business.
