The Production Supervisor is responsible for relative assigned shift and/or crew, managing company personnel/food safety, quality, production, and leadership objectives. The Production Supervisor directly supervises production employees to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas. Job Responsibilities
Assist with training, teaching, and educating employees on company policies, procedures, and standards. Monitor and control personal practices at the floor level, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring of hourly staff. Monitor and control PMO, USDA, CDFA, and FDA compliance through established verification processes. Effectively troubleshoot process deviations related to process control or mechanical uptime, working closely with maintenance on scheduled and break-in work. Oversee production, ensuring all employee safety, quality, and environmental standards are met. Prioritize safety above all other job duties by having a safety-first approach at all times.
What You Will Need
High School diploma and 4 years related experience, Associates degree and 3 years related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience OR equivalent experience. Able to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor's degree plus 4 years related experience. Experience with production processes and working closely with other departments. Experience with SAP.
Physical Demands & Work Environment This role requires physical exertion, exposure to potentially hazardous conditions or safety hazards. The majority of time is spent walking or standing. There are occasional periods of sedentary work. It is required to wear PPE and have a regular presence in manufacturing and warehouse environments in both temperature-controlled and uncontrolled locations.
