Customer Service Representative
Job Description
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining effective customer service for all customers. Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and to handle and resolve complaints. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurately processes customer transactions such as purchase orders, complaints and credits (returns). Verifies pricing, delivery & all detail on purchase orders; contact customers when necessary. Communicates to the planning department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products. Maintains daily logs for managing customer inventory levels to ensure appropriate inventory is available to meet requested ship dates. Communicates updated information or changes to the customer. Evaluates inventory levels to ensure established safety stock levels are replenished and available. Acts as liaison between the customer and GBC shipping team making sure orders are shipped accurately and on-time. Responsible for maintaining COIs and renewing annually. Assesses customer requirements and directs activities/inquiries to appropriate departments. Works independently to make accurate decisions and react quickly to situations in a fast-paced environment, seeking help and authorization as needed. Communicates to customers and co-workers both verbally and electronically (e-mail). Updates Green Bay Converting’s phone directory when necessary. Works closely with Sales and Planning to manage the process for new customers and new items. Grants access and welcomes all front door guests in an appropriate and timely manner. Have guests sign confidentiality agreements when necessary. Fill in for Purchasing, Sales Support, and Planning roles, as needed. Perform other duties, as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate Degree or higher preferred. Computer Skills:
Possess intermediate computer skills – especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience using EDI, TMS, and Great Plains a plus.
