In this role, you will operate flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials on paper and film substrates. Your work will directly support the manufacturing of critical medical device packaging components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in printing press operations, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate flexographic printing presses to achieve required graphics on paper and film substrates. Install, align, and secure printing mats to printing sleeves or mandrels, ensuring accurate and consistent print quality. Inspect and verify raw materials—ensuring correct web stock, ink selection, and adherence to specifications. Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimal throughput rates and minimize waste. Use proper lifting equipment and follow forklift operator training protocols for safe material handling. Conduct daily safety checks of powered equipment and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations. Ensure compliance with company quality policies, procedures, and best practices to meet or exceed client and regulatory standards. Complete finishing operations such as rewinding and slitting printed web material as necessary. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a printing press, preferably flexographic printing equipment. Strong understanding of print production processes, materials, inks, and substrates. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance principles. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain clear, accurate documentation. Detail-oriented and capable of troubleshooting issues to ensure consistent product quality. Willingness to work night shifts and, if necessary, relocate to within commuting distance of Canaan, Connecticut.
