Requirements: •Previous Crew Lead or other supervisory experience. •Previous Landscape and Hardscape experience (planting, paver patios, retaining walls, etc.). •Ability to read and interpret blueprints and landscape drawings. •Clean Background. Hardscape Crew Foreman needed to manage landscape installation crews. Will work directly with landscape designers and project managers to build landscapes for commercial and residential clients. Applicants should possess the following qualifications: •2-3 years experience in landscape construction, including installation of plant materials, hardscape installation experience is required (stone walls, concrete paver walkways and patios, etc), seeding, sodding, and general landscape maintenance. •1-2 years experience as a landscape/hardscape Crew Leader or other supervisory role. •Candidates should be able to read/comprehend a landscape plan and blueprints. •Ability to operate small machinery, large trucks, and front end loaders (clean driving record is required, CDL is not). •Comfortable driving large trucks and pulling trailers, with a general knowledge of the Columbus metro area. •Self-motivation, problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to take and give direction are essential. •Ability to train and develop crew members for career development and company growth. •Strong and effective communication skills - both verbal and written. •Professional appearance and attitude when dealing with clients. •Punctual, dependable, and reliable. •Clean background. •Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen. •Spanish language skills are a plus. Job responsibilities include: •Managing and leading a crew of 2-3 landscape installers to provide clean, accurate, and timely installation of landscape/hardscape construction projects. •Ensuring that all material for a project is prepped and loaded before heading to job sites. •Coordinating with designer/project manager regarding timelines, deadlines, and project specifics. •Tracking job hours and materials through appropriate paperwork. •Comply with all company policies and regulations. •Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop areas. •Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with government and company standards. General Working Conditions: •Ability to work with hand/power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials. •Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift. •Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis. •Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold. •Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work. Experience and/or education is a positive for this position. Salary will be based on level of expertise in the landscape field and ability to perform all aspects of job that are required.
