Job Description: At BW Papersystems, the Human Resource Generalist works with the People Team and is focused on what our team needs and how to provide it. We're searching for a qualified and resourceful human resources generalist who will support the department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. In this role, you will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations Participate in development of People Team objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of People Team department Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary Answer employee questions regarding benefit programs such as disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters Implements human resources programs by providing human resources services, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee or labor relations, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance Completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records Collects and analyzes internal and external information in order to compare the organizations HR practices to those prevailing in the market Ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 5+ years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, military or related environment Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems
