Location: Columbus Corporate, Columbus, MT (Hybrid Remote) Schedule: 5x2, 4x3 - 9-hour days Senior Accountant
Location: Columbus, MT (Hybrid Remote) Schedule: 5x2, 4x3 - 9-hour days Job Responsibilities and Duties: The Senior Accountant is responsible for the internal/external financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate completion and compliance with GAAP and IFRS and applicable regulatory reporting. Provide financial operating results to multiple levels of management ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the information. Maintain and monitor the daily activities/transactions associated with segments of the Company. Prepare and assist in the financial close process Preparation of complete and accurate Company consolidated financial results for reporting to internal/external stakeholders Prepare and reconcile all intercompany financial transactions Assist with set-up and integration of accounting processes and reporting as a result of acquisitions/mergers/divestitures Generate, review, record and post general journal entries to the Company's financial books and records Prepare/review timely account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial reporting Assist with the coordination and completion of the financial close process in conjunction with reporting timelines Assist with internal and external audits Manage the accounting process for all royalty calculations including assistance with royalty audits Assist with periodic review of accounting policies, procedures and workflow practices and assist with periodic program review Take ownership of segment accounting process for internal control and reporting purposes Provide detailed reports and/or analysis to management as requested Provide support for management to understand costs Assist with the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program by ensuring internal control procedures are designed properly and working effectively and documentation is kept up-to-date Cross-train with other accounting/finance personnel to ensure adequate department coverage at all times Other duties and projects as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management Position will be based in Columbus, Montana and will have ability to work from home when not necessary to be on-site in Columbus.
Qualifications and Skills:

Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
A proven ability to communicate with multiple site locations and at all levels in order to accumulate data, interpret results, propose changes and report the financial effect of business decisions Strong written and oral communication skills Knowledge of foreign currency
Education & Experience
BS degree in accounting or finance or related field and/or 5+ years relevant accounting/finance experience. Certified public accountant (CPA) is desirable. JDE Enterprise One software experience is a plus Working knowledge of statutory and GAAP/IFRS accounting, including Sarbanes Oxley requirements
