Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting an endocrinologist with interest or and/or expertise in thyroid disorders to join our exciting practice. This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care for patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and other thyroid disorders; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and other scholarly activities such as quality improvement activities and clinical research. The division is highly recognized in clinical and research programs in thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes; adrenal and pituitary disorders; metabolic bone disease, obesity, women’s health, and other hormone conditions. Division Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism has been recognized for excellence by U.S. News and World Report on an ongoing basis. We are committed to excellence in clinical care, the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and discoveries to improve the care of patients with endocrine and endocrine-related disorders through laboratory and clinical research. Our division has a long history of developing novel interdisciplinary programs and has demonstrated outstanding performance in areas such as thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes and obesity, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic bone disease. The Division is supported by the The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Wexner Medical Center, and The James Cancer Hospital. Duties and Responsibilities This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care to endocrine patients with a focus on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and basic or clinical research. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspirations, e-consults, and inpatient consults. Requirements Candidates must have an MD or DO Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience Faculty Defined Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care. REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years old. Valid Driver's license. Must be able to pass a drug screening, physical, tuberculosis test and background/DMV checks. Weekend Availability Required.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

Transport consumers to medical appointments, community activities, school/day programs, religious services, and family visits. Perform daily activities in the home, including meal prep, shopping, cleaning, and supporting consumer outcomes. Assist with community home licensing and home activities per regulations. Contribute to ISP development and ensure accurate documentation (e.g., medication logs, daily logs, incident reports, behavior plans, vehicle logs, consumer funds). Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. Administer medications and collaborate with Site Supervisor to meet consumer needs as per ISPs. Follow supervision requirements and assist with special projects as needed. Complete hours via MITC and required training on an annual basis. Attend staff meetings and be available for shifts 24/7 as scheduled. Assist with on-call and emergency situations as requested.
