Volt is immediately hiring for Fabrication Associate in Columbus, OH .
As a Fabrication Associate, you will be:
Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard. Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies. Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures. Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication. Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths accurately. Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches. Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines. Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
This is a full time, Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
6-8 months recent machinery, band saws, automatic welding machines.
Ability to use and understand tape measures. Use of Gauges for quality checks. 6-8 months experience in mechanical background. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Strong math skills for calculating product quantities. Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard. Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe (training provided). Results-focused in a fast-paced environment. Capable of reading a tape measure accurately. Good computer skills for automated machinery.
Pay Rate:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
