Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Production Support Technician to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will get to work directly with assemblers, technicians, and engineers supporting engineering designs released to the production floor. You will be responsible for identifying design errors, safety, and quality issues, and work with the responsible design engineer to correct the design, assembly, and process issues. Acting as the liaison between engineering and manufacturing, you will provide key insight from the production floor to the design engineering team. This role will be based in Faribault, MN .

In this role you will get to: Identify and troubleshoot issues on the manufacturing floor (whether these require quick fixes or major collaboration efforts across multiple disciplines) Work with Design engineers to correct product design, safety, or quality issues. Create and process Engineering Change Orders to implement design corrections. Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action studies. Maintain and update engineering Design documentation. Communicate with shift leaders regarding safety, production, quality, or any other operational issues. Suggest improvements to Operations, design, and manufacturing engineering. Coordinate process improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Support development and commercialization of innovative technology through prototyping, piloting, and ongoing commercial manufacture. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High School or GED or equivalent Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial environment. Direct experience with electrical assemblies a plus. Experience with electrical one-line drawings, component and assembly drawings, work instructions, schematics, and other specifications. Basic computer skills required: (Windows, Excel, Outlook). Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, E-plan, etc. Must be able to work with common hand tools. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Knowledgeable at installing wire labels and device tags. Associate degree is preferred. Additional industrial certifications (i.e. welding, electrical, safety) are advantageous. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations. Ability to use reason when dealing with emotional topics. Ensure that others involved in a project or effort are kept informed about developments, modifications, and plans. Hands-on aptitude with mechanical and electrical equipment. Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge. Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
