As the Inventory Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing material movement across multiple warehouses and manufacturing locations as well as leading and growing the team that owns the full cycle inventory flow. You will coordinate with and support the manufacturing, deployment, and supply chain teams to enable Ample operations to scale quickly and efficiently.
What you'll do:
Oversee and optimize the full cycle material handling flow: receiving, stocking, kitting, crating, and shipment loading. Innovate on inventory management processes and tools - identify inefficiencies, common mistakes, or risks and propose creative solutions that will scale Implement new technology solutions to enhance inventory tracking and reporting. Train and support team members on the use of these tools and software. Develop and manage a team to solve day to day operational issues, react to evolving priorities, and deliver on urgent requests as well as long term performance goals Foster strong team oriented, internal customer support culture, with proven ability to motivate and inspire Develop weekly and monthly work plans to align with production, deployment, delivery schedule but maintain agility to respond to ad-hoc requests Recommend policies and procedures to meet new or changing conditions. Interface with necessary stakeholders across the company to obtain alignment and implement corrective action measures. Oversee and participate in physical inventory counts and resolve discrepancies Maintain and improve existing facilities and equipment. Coordinate installations, construction upgrade projects, large scale material movement when needed. Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Generate and present regular reports on inventory team performance. Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile inventory records, support auditing efforts.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's Degree preferred Proven experience managing teams across different levels of expertise
Ability to lift 50 pounds, pull, reach, climb, transport and handle products
Determination to continuously improve processes and outcomes Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment Meticulous attention to detail Ability to influence internal and external partners with a positive attitude Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in G Suite/ MSOffice/ strong excel skills Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize technology solutions for operational efficiency. A valid driver's license and clean DMV record, forklift license a plus
