The Payroll Specialist will:
Function with confidentiality, autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization Promote the well-being of the human aspect of this organization and report any concerns to the Payroll Manager or in absence of the Payroll Manager, the Director of Payroll. Function with complete confidentiality Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, supervisors, and consumers of this organization Be an advocate for all the policies and protocols of the organization
Major Responsibilities
Maintain payroll records in ADP WFN (payroll system) and ADP WFM (time & attendance system) as directed by Manager Maintain payroll differentials in ADP WFN And ADP WFM Assist with all aspects of payroll, reimbursements, deductions related to APIS, Inc. payroll Attention to detail especially when entering data and manual corrections Enter on-call incentives Review ADP WFM call logs for accuracy and missing records Enter/Update job allocations in ADP WFN Maintain accurate employee data including pay differentials in ADP WFN and QDP WFM Review call logs and timecards working with Program and Office of Program Administration to make necessary adjustments Answer, respond, and record calls on the Payroll hotline and elevate issues to Payroll Manager and Director of Payroll Generate ADP WFM reports as requested by the Investigation team Adhere to all ADP WFM protocols Operate with confidentiality. Confidential information not to be shared Run and analyze various payroll reports as requested by Director of Payroll, or Payroll Manager and Human Resources Track employee on-call, paid time off, and holiday pay Meet Payroll deadlines as assigned by Director of Payroll or Payroll Manger Insure weekly Paid Time Off (PTO) is accurate and maintain paid time off reports and balances Communicate with affiliates to answer questions and make decisions regarding pay and hours Identify areas to better utilize ADP WFN and/or ADP WFM Assist in implementation of new and/or upgrades to payroll and timekeeping software Assist as needed in preparation for and during the Annual Audit Ability to make sound financial decisions while exercising discretion and independent judgment surrounding PR Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
Education and Experience:
College Degree or Three (3) to five (5) years with progressive experience working in payroll Knowledge of payroll protocols, record keeping, and non-profit funding streams Excellent Analytical and Critical thinking skills Excellent communication, writing, and documentation skills Excellent computer and Excel skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to work remotely and complete tasks timely and accurately
