Background:
The Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G9 (ODCS, G9) is the principal military adviser to the ASA (IE&E) on a broad array of programs, including management of facilities and infrastructure, environmental programs, housing, installation logistics, public and private partnerships, and energy and water security and sustainability. The ODCS, G9 is the principal Army Staff (ARSTAF) adviser to the Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA) on installation and Family support matters and assists the CSA in acting as the agent of the Sec Army in carrying into effect approved plans and recommendations. The ODCS, G9 is also the principal military adviser to the ASA (M&RA) and ASA (FM&C) for Family morale, welfare, and recreation programs, Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF), and Soldier and Family readiness programs. This position is needed to successfully execute a myriad of ODCS, and G9’s IT support-related responsibilities to perform the organization’s mission.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Identify, track, and manage government-furnished assets, ensuring accurate inventory records and compliance with Army regulations. Oversee the receipt, transfer, and disposition of assets using current technology and established military guidelines. Demonstrate initiative and follow-through in managing asset logistics and inventory control processes. Apply expertise in life cycle support, document control, database management, and Army logistics to streamline operations. Maintain accurate records for the receipt of goods and prepare issue and turn-in documents for Government Furnished Property (GFP). Ensure efficient movement of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and organizational property, adhering to logistical best practices. Keep inventory records up to date for all GFP and GFE, ensuring accountability and regulatory compliance. Assist in the turn-in of excess equipment and property, maintaining detailed hand receipt files and updating records as needed. Manage accountability of assets for onsite and remote employees, ensuring proper tracking and documentation of all assigned equipment.
Qualification(s):
Experience with government equipment or property management. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of equipment and property management tools or systems and property management tracking systems. Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and be organized/detail oriented. Experience with GCSS-Army preferred. Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification
