The Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) will support the HR department at our manufacturing facility, providing key assistance with day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, recruiting, and onboarding processes. This role will ensure HR functions are performed smoothly and effectively to support both the production team and management. The HR Coordinator will be the first point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive employee experience and promoting a safe, compliant, and high-morale work environment. The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. This position will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations and should be familiar using HR software and tools. The successful candidate must be an analytical, collaborative, and results oriented leader who can effectively build relationships and processes. This is a progressively responsible role. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Supports HR functions, programs, and performs various tasks, including but not limited to: Reviewing and upholding Company policies and procedures. Live our values. Create an inviting and collaborative team environment. Create employee communications. Responds to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests, such as employee questions about employment and policies. Maintains records of employee-related data (payroll, personal information, transfer, salary changes, etc.) in both paper and in the HRIS database to ensure all requirements are met, verifying and processing employee and department documentation. Produces and submits reports from HRIS data for data integrity, compliance review, or general HR activity. Assist the recruitment center of excellence (COE's) with sourcing, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding. May assist in creating partnerships with universities, key recruitment channels, assist with job fairs, interviews and outreach. May assist in onboarding activities and employer of choice activities across the region. Willing to effectively collaborate with other COE's (i.e. Compensation and Benefits) and functions to effectively achieve the desired outcome. Assists in the daily support of site activities such as supporting local employee celebrations, new hire orientation, answering phones and being a point of contact for vendors as needed. Assists in the implementation of site, regional and HR and Corporate Management with procedures as required such as legal/subpoena requests and ad-hoc requests. May assist in global initiatives. Other items as assigned.
Education and Experience
BS/BA in Business Management, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field. Preferred 3 - 5 years human resource experience in a manufacturing setting.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position. Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices. Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular). Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, a plus). Ability to work with ATS software (e.g., Workday, ApplicantPro a plus). Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships within the location and HR; ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and through written correspondence. Ability to handle data with confidentiality. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, especially during times of stress.
Business Acumen
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills with an eye for identifying process improvements. Make sense of data coming from multiple directions and able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to understand how this role impacts cross functional teams and how this role is inter-connected. Ability to collect data and keep organized to meet deadlines. Accuracy as it relates to report data and timeliness of delivery.
Reporting Relationships
This role will report to the HR Business Partner. This role has no direct reports.
Work Environment
Office setting with frequent trips out to the plant to engage with all location employees.
